GROWING
Adult Formation

Faith doesn’t stop growing—it deepens throughout every stage of life. Our Adult Formation offerings provide space to learn, ask questions, and explore what it means to follow Christ more fully in daily living.
Several opportunities exist for adults to continue to grow in their faith at St. James. During the Fall and Spring, the Rector teaches "The Rector's Forum" at 9 AM on Sundays in the Parish Hall. During the Forum we explore scripture, church history, theology and all sorts of other relevant topics. Additionally, in January the Rector teaches an all parish series at 11 AM on a topic that affects all Christians in their walk with Christ; past series include- "Life in Christ" (Christian spirituality) and "Even at the Grave" (Faithful Christian approaches to death).
Lent is a particularly holy time for us as Christians as we prepare ourselves for Easter. During Lent on Wednesdays at 5:30 PM we gather in the Parish Hall for a simple dinner and small group discussion based on a presentation. For the last few years we have journeyed through the first three seasons of the hit show "The Chosen" and explored how Jesus calls us to be his called out disciples.
Our parish is also very involved with Cursillo, a Christian renewal movement through the Diocese of Florida. Those returning from Cursillo form small groups which meet throughout the week and journey through life together.
Wherever you are on your journey, there is a place here to grow.
