DOK members undertake a Rule of Life, incorporating the Rule of Prayer and the Rule of Service. By reaffirmation of the promises made at Baptism and Confirmation, a Daughter pledges herself to a life-long program of prayer, service, and evangelism, dedicated to the spread of Christ’s Kingdom and the strengthening of the spiritual life of her parish.

Junior Daughters began in 2007 with just a handful of girls and continues today as a meaningful ministry of faith, friendship, prayer, and service. Meeting regularly throughout the month, the group provides young girls with opportunities to grow in Christ, build community, and serve others together.

Over the years, God has continued to work through this ministry in countless ways, nurturing compassion, confidence, and faith in the lives of the young people involved. Whether through fellowship, service projects, or shared prayer, Junior Daughters remains a special part of the life of St. James Episcopal Church.

For more information on joining DOK or DOK Jr., please contact the Parish Office.

The Prayer Chain Ministry at St. James Episcopal Church is a faithful community devoted to lifting up the needs of others through prayer. Whether offering prayers for healing, comfort, thanksgiving, guidance, or strength, members of the prayer chain help ensure that no one carries their burdens alone.

Through the power of prayer and the care of our parish community, this ministry offers encouragement, compassion, and spiritual support to those in times of joy, struggle, illness, or loss.

If you have a prayer request for yourself or a loved one, please fill out a pew card and place in the offering during Sunday service or email the parish office at stjameslcoffice@gmail.com. You may also submit a prayer request through our website, using the "Contact Us" message form. Please indicate whether your prayer is public (bulletin/prayer chain) or private (DOK intercessory prayer).
